Valentines Day was an interesting one this year. I managed to catch a hearty case of food poisoning from my local Wendys restaurant. I had plans to head up to my family's restaurant with my girlfriend to partake in a Valentines Day dinner. My sister, her fiance, and my parents were all going to be there. Prior to my departure up home, I had some preparation to take care of in lieu of this romantic day.

First, I had to pickup the flowers that I ordered for my girlfriend. I decided to do this over my lunch break. After doing so around noon that day, I decided to stop by my local Wendys to grab a bite to eat via drive thru. Quoting my order...

Me: I'd like a Spicy Chicken combo with a side salad and a Coke.

Them: Would you like to biggie size that?

Me: No thank you.

Them: That will be $5.13, pull around to the first window. After paying, I headed home to drop off my flowers and cure my hunger. After finishing lunch, I headed back to work. After work, we were planning on leaving around 6:15pm to head up to the dinner. On the ride home, I mentioned to my girlfriend that I wasn't feeling all that well. We initially thought it might have been the Eclipse gum that I was chewing since it wasn't the most savory tasting gum I've ever had.

Shaking off the idea of being sick, we continued our hike up home. By the time we reached the restaurant, I already felt a fever coming on and my stomach screaming 'Dude, something is way wrong with me!!'. We sat down to dinner and I ordered a steak and some spicy fries. After our food arrived, I took one bite of my steak and had two fries...excused myself...and headed to the restroom.

To make a long story short, I visited the porcelain god regularly from that point on until about 2:00am that night. It would appear that I had a case of food poisoning of sorts. Needless to say, Wendy will not be receiving a Valentines Day card from me anytime soon and I won't be visiting your restaurant anytime in the near future.
