Valentines Day was an interesting one this year. I managed to catch a hearty case of food poisoning from my local Wendys restaurant. I had plans to head up to my family's restaurant with my girlfriend to partake in a Valentines Day dinner. My sister, her fiance, and my parents were all going to be there. Prior to my departure up home, I had some preparation to take care of in lieu of this romantic day.
First, I had to pickup the flowers that I ordered for my girlfriend. I decided to do this over my lunch break. After doing so around noon that day, I decided to stop by my local Wendys to grab a bite to eat via drive thru. Quoting my order...
Me: I'd like a Spicy Chicken combo with a side salad and a Coke.
Them: Would you like to biggie size that?
Me: No thank you.
Them: That will be $5.13, pull around to the first window.
Yes Pittsburgh fans, it's true. The Steelers managed to pull off a Superbowl victory yesterday against Seattle. While the Ward touchdown courtesy of Randal El was an exciting piece of history, perhaps the more interesting tidbits of the win came after the game.
If you happened to be a news watcher in the Pittsburgh area, you might have witnessed the chaos occuring in the Southside and Oakland. Not only did fans show up to the game, but they showed their support in the Pittsburgh streets. Channel 11 was reporting that one, somewhat intoxicated, fan decided to take his shirt off in the Southside and glide across the slippery pavement as if he were a penguin on ice. Luckily for him the alcohol numbed the pain a bit that night, but I'm sure he's feeling it today.
Anyway, just adding blogs to this site. Farewell for now.
At the beginning of the NFL season, I'll be honest, I didn't even consider the Steelers making it to the Superbowl this year. Boy was I wrong, huh! So I'm sitting here today watching the game while doing some massive interface overhaul on this blog section and then I look up and noticed the score was like 27-3 Stillers. Wow, better put the laptop down there dork and watch the game, I said to myself.
So after it was all done and over with, the Steelers came out victorious and now are headed to the Superbowl. That makes three good things that happened today:
- Steelers are going to the Superbowl
- My mom didn't have a heart attack watching the game
- My blog interface is somewhat improved after about 30 hours of work
- Oh, and I'm blogging to you from Internet Explorer which means it actually functions in IE
Maybe I'll blog some more tomorrow. I'm just testing at this point.
