A day starts off as a normal UFC fight night morning. I was beyond excited to see the outcome of the Liddell Jackson fight tonight. When we arrived at my buddy Gene's dad's house I discovered that we were gonig to be watching this paperview on a 46 inch liquid crystal high def TV brodcasting in high def. This is defanitly a plus. It was some unimaginable quality in this pictue. During the pre-fight the beers start flowing and the bets start flyin. Through the night I ended up losing five bets on five fights. I was down in the gutter. BUT!!! In the pre-fights I took a double or nothing bet that Rampage Jackson would win the main event. As I predicted in my previous blog Rampage wins and takes the title!! So I was even on my bets. We drank, ate, and had some 100% male testosterone ass kickin, face beatin, blood flyin fun. But the ladies enjoyed it too. IT WAS A GOOD NIGHT. Rampage I think is gonna be on top for a while. What i would like to see happen is for Randy Couture to beat Gonzoga and drop back down and fight Jackson. And here is a little piece for Randy and and his upcoming event.
Despite his respect for Gonzaga's abilities, it's clear that Couture is confident in his own chances come fight time. Fighting since 2003, Gonzaga is much newer to the MMA game than Couture, who has competed in countless title fights in his 10 year career. Couture cites his own experience and the fact that Gonzaga has never before fought in a five round title fight as advantages in his favor. And Couture does not plan on being the one thrown around in August. "My experience and the fact that it will be a five round fight are important. I'm confident that I can put him on the ground. So we will see how he likes being on the bottom."
